Treatments

Solace treatments are structured, practitioner-led sessions designed to support the skin, the body, and the nervous system.

Each treatment follows a consistent, flowing sequence, delivered with steady pacing and hands-on care.

Adjustments are made within the treatment flow based on what you present on the day, without expanding beyond the intended scope of the session.

The focus is on consistency, safety, and responsive care.

Frequently asked questions

Do you treat men?

Yes.

Solace is shaped by women’s lived experience, and the studio is open to people of all genders.

Treatments are relaxation-focused and nervous-system-led, delivered with the same care, boundaries, and steadiness for everyone.

I don’t want to talk — is that okay?

Yes. Completely.

You are welcome to rest in silence for the entire session.

There is no expectation to explain, perform, or share your story.

You can speak if you want to. You can also simply lie down and let your body soften.

What should I wear?

Please arrive in comfortable clothing.

For bodywork sessions, you’ll be professionally draped at all times, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered. Your comfort, privacy, and dignity are always prioritised.

Do I need to choose a modality?

No. You don’t need to know the names of techniques or decide what kind of treatment to book.

Sessions at Solace are practitioner-led and guided by what your body needs on the day. I may draw from a range of gentle, supportive approaches — always with your consent and within your comfort — to create a treatment that feels coherent, grounded, and restorative.

Sessions are priced by time, not by modality. There are no add-ons or upgrades — the focus is on the quality of care, not the number of techniques used.

You simply arrive. I’ll take care of the rest.

Is this remedial or relaxation massage?

Solace Healing is not strictly remedial or purely relaxation-focused.

Sessions are guided by nervous-system state and what the body needs on the day. That may include deeper work at times, or it may be slower and more settling. Care is always practitioner-led, consent-led, and responsive.

Will it hurt?

No. Treatments are not designed to push through pain.

Sensations may include warmth, pressure, or deep relaxation, but everything stays within a respectful, nervous-system-safe range. If anything feels too intense at any point, we adjust immediately.

This is care that listens — not force that overrides.

Can I ask to change pressure or stop the session?

Yes — at any time.

Consent is ongoing. You’re always welcome to ask for changes in pressure, pace, positioning, or to pause or stop altogether. You don’t need to explain or justify your request.

What if I don’t know what I need?

That’s completely okay.

Many people arrive without clarity — tired, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. Sessions unfold from there, guided by training, observation, and what your body communicates.

You don’t need a plan.

Is this professional and private?

Yes.

Sessions are held with clear professional boundaries, confidentiality, and respect. This is a practitioner-led therapeutic space, not a social or informal setting.

What about cupping — will it leave marks?

Sometimes — it depends on the style used.

Traditional cupping can leave temporary marks that fade within a few days.

Bella Bassi cupping is a gentler technique and is very unlikely to leave marks.

I’ll always explain the difference and check your comfort and consent before proceeding.

What if I feel emotional or unsettled afterward?

Occasionally, people notice shifts in mood, energy, or awareness after a session.

This isn’t something you need to “do” anything with. Gentle rest, hydration, and giving yourself time to settle is usually sufficient. If you have questions or concerns afterward, you’re welcome to reach out.

Are treatments safe if I have health conditions?

Some health conditions may require modification or may not be suitable for certain techniques.

You’ll be asked to complete an intake form before your first session, and we’ll always work within scope and safety. If something isn’t appropriate, it will be adjusted or avoided.
