Code of Conduct
Last updated: 29 December 2025
Solace is a studio of presence, care, and practitioner-led integrity.
This Code of Conduct sets out the standards you can expect inside this space, and what is asked in return.
It exists for one reason: mutual safety, dignity, and trust.
1) OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
(PRACTITIONER STANDARDS)
At Solace, you can expect:
• Respect and dignity
You will be treated with care, professionalism, and respect, regardless of background, identity, body type, history, beliefs, or how much you choose to share.
• Practitioner-led, consent-led care
I will explain what I’m doing, check in as needed, and adjust treatment based on your feedback and comfort. You are always welcome to ask questions.
• Clear professional boundaries
Solace Healing is a professional therapeutic space grounded in care, respect, and safety. Sessions are offered within a clear practitioner–client relationship to support wellbeing and comfort for everyone involved.
• Safety-first touch
All treatments are delivered using professional draping and clear therapeutic protocols, with client comfort, dignity, and safety held as the priority at all times.
• Honest scope and referrals when needed
If something is outside my training, scope, or what is safe for your body, I will say so and may recommend you seek support from another qualified practitioner.
• Privacy and confidentiality
Your personal information, health history, and treatment notes are treated as private and stored securely. Information is not shared with other practitioners or third parties without your written consent, unless required by law or to prevent serious harm.
2) YOUR ROLE IN THIS SPACE
(CLIENT EXPECTATIONS)
To protect this space for everyone, you are asked to:
• Treat the practitioner and studio with respect
Aggressive, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or sexualised behaviour is not tolerated.
• Communicate clearly
Share what you need regarding pressure, pace, sensitivity, injuries, preferences, or boundaries. You do not need the “right words” — honest words are enough.
• Provide relevant health information
For your safety, please disclose injuries, medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, recent procedures, or anything that may affect treatment.
• Respect the professional container
This is a professional therapeutic space that is caring and respectful, and clinical when required. The session is held within the scope of professional treatment.
3) CONSENT
(REAL AND DYNAMIC)
Consent is not a one-time checkbox.
You can change your mind at any time, including mid-treatment, for any reason.
You may request:
• a pause
• a change of technique or pressure
• an area to be avoided
• additional draping
• to remain more clothed
• to end the session early
You will be believed and respected. No explanations are required.
4) DRAPING, MODESTY, AND TOUCH BOUNDARIES
Professional standards apply at all times:
• Draping is always used
You will be professionally draped throughout your session.
• Underwear stays on
Bottom underwear remains on at all times.
• Bra is always your choice
You may keep a bra on if you prefer. If you choose to remove it, this is done privately and you remain draped.
• Glute work is professional and over-drape
Glutes may be worked only in a professional manner, typically through the drape or towel using compressions. You may request “no glutes” at any time.
5) INTOXICATION, SAFETY, AND RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
For safety and professional integrity, a session may be refused or ended if:
• you are under the influence of alcohol or illicit substances
• you behave in a verbally abusive, sexually inappropriate, or threatening manner
• continuing would be unsafe for you or for the practitioner
If a session ends for these reasons, the appointment fee may be charged in full.
6) SOCIAL MEDIA AND CONTACT BOUNDARIES
Professional boundaries apply outside the treatment room:
• Business contact only
Please contact Solace via the business email, booking system, or business phone number.
• No health advice via direct messages
Diagnosis or treatment advice is not provided through social media messages.
• Consent-based content only
Client images or stories are never shared without explicit written consent.
7) FEEDBACK AND COMPLAINTS
(WE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY)
If something feels off, you are encouraged to make contact.
You can reach Solace via the contact details provided on the website. A response will be provided as soon as practical, and within 7 days at most.
All feedback and complaints are treated with sincerity, privacy, and care, and are used to improve the quality and safety of the studio.
